The LFI Downflow Booth is a self contained system designed to control potent or nonpotent compounds/ powders during sampling, weighing, and other manual processes. The vertical laminar flow provides up to 150 FPM of HEPA filtered air, which is then exhausted at the rear of the booth , up through high-efficiency primary HEPA filters, and  recirculated down through secondary HEPA filters housed in the ceiling grid. A percentage of fresh makeup air, typically 10% of volume, is induced into the recirculation cycle as the corresponding amount is bled off. Operator protection is provided to 100 µg/ m3. The system incorporates instrumentation, air flow control, and easy filter changeout.
